Our Story

In America, every individual has a story that makes him/her unique. We all come from different countries, different family lives, and we celebrate different cultural traditions.

FACES, which stands for Fine Arts & Cultural Enrichment School is a company that raises cultural awareness through dance and music, while building physical, emotional, and mental strength. We want students to be proud of their own cultural background, and gain respect for the culture of others. We teach students of all ages the importance of learning how others live, how others celebrate, and how all of our differences come together to make our country unique in itself.

We grew up learning about the traditions of our ancestors, and that love of learning heightened when we joined the Multicultural dance group at Utah Valley University, where we both graduated.

While in this group, we served as performers, choreographers, assistant producers, and stage managers. We had the opportunity to travel the world, and share our love of dance with people of various backgrounds.

We were able to live with and teach the people of China, Canada, Australia, Fiji, and Japan.

We started FACES so that others can experience what we have experienced. We want this program to grow into a company that not only teaches dance and music from multiple cultures, but helps the next generation share their pride in who they are, and learn confidence in who they can become.

In our classes, we teach dance and music from all around the world, including but not limited to: Polynesia, Latin America, Asia, and India. Students in the more advanced classes are also given the opportunity to use their talents for shows and performances around the community. Summer workshops are taught in Mapleton, Utah. We are open to teaching workshops or classes, or performing for your event throughout the year in Utah, Washington DC, and surrounding areas.
